Kyle J asked:
I’ve hear everyone talking about how much more convincingly Paquiao defeated Oscar and Hatton than did Mayweather. Does that mean that if Floyd knocks out Marquez (which Manny was unable to do) does that change anyone’s opinion? To me it’s all hype!!! I know who’s gonna win this fight….WHAT ABOUT YOU?

It means that Floyd is still one of the best. He is expected to win though, he has nearly advantage possible-speed, size, skill, hometown, etc.

It means that PBF made the right choice.
After all, that is what the last several years of PBF’s career has been about……HIS choice of opponent vs an actual #1 rated challenger.
There is only one thing that will get real boxing fans off of PBF’s tail…..clean up the 147 lbs class and retire on top.
The fact is that now with Pacman on the scene at 140, the 147 lbs’er will mostly be overlooked in the $$ vortex that PBF and Pacman create. PBF may have issues with the contractual stuff regarding Pacman. And of course Pacman looked awesome against DLH & Hatton, but Pacman is on the same trek as PBF and will likely not want to fight the likes of Mosley, Cotto, Berto or anyone that can put a quick stop to the money train.
Neither will likely step into the meat of the welterweight division. There will be a build-up to a fight between the two, but if you really think about it…if the two fight at 147 lbs how much merit is there in the fight? Sure you can fight at 140 lbs, but the talent in boxing right now is at 147 – 154. Hopefully Pacman will do what PBF hasn’t……step into the den at 147 lbs.
As for PBF destroying Marquez……..Marquez is giving up a great advantage in weight. I think there are plenty of us wondering if Marquez can replicate what Pacman has done. Of course it will be quite a bit harder against PBF.
If PBF KO’s Marquez…the same question will pop up because it is true…….where is the fight against someone of merit vs someone who puts ***** in the seats?
Plucking opponents is not the way to endear a true fan……step up or step out.

FIGHT COTTO, FIGHT COTTO, FIGHT COTTO. Fight your own class. Marquez will win though. Sorry
