small guy beating a larger guy was more exciting compared to bigger guy beating a smaller guy. Pacquio 5′6 1/2″ beat Dela Hoya 5′10″, Margarito 5′ 11″ beat Cotto 5′7″.

I like Margarito vs Cotto because both is in their prime and Cotto was ahead on the scorecard early on, Margarito just turn it on at the end. Oscar was past his prime and Pacquiao dominate start to finish. One side fight.

I am going to say Margarito’s performance.

Manny was spectacular in his domination, but I agree with the other poster, it was against a boxer way past his prime with weight issues. But more importantly, that match did not mean anything, it was just an attempt by DLH is gain more money.

On the other hand, the Marg vs Cotto fight was two prime boxers in the same weight division in a match that meant a whole lot. Both were competitive but one was hungrier. I think boxing has a lot to do with a person’s will, determination, and heart. I think that Marg’s performance displayed that much better in his fight.

In my eyes it would be Margarito vs Cotto because it was two prime fighters where there was somewhat of a consensus that Cotto would win and Margarito showed everyone that he still had it in a bloody, tactical brawl.

The Manny-DLH fight was surprising for the fact that virtually no one expected Manny to win, but in my eyes it showed more that Oscar was past it. A great accomplishment still, but I think it would of been different two years ago and that kind of taints it a little for me.

I go with Margarito because De La Hoya looked weak.

Well, Pacquiao’s performance over Oscar was more dominating and was very unexpected, which was amazing in itself. Margarito’s over Cotto was great simply because Margarito slowly broke down and overwhelmed Cotto, when I thought he was losing the first several rounds.

It’s really a tough call, Blogbaba, but I think I may have to go with Pacquiao’s dominating win over Oscar, simply because it was unexpected. Though, Cotto-Margarito was the better fight. =)
