I just watched Maragarito’s amazing performance against Cotto again, and truth be told I am torn between the two fights. I am interesting in how you guys compare the two fights.

Should the Pacquiao Cotto fight be for the belt?

I think it should be since Pacquiao is the pound for pound best and should be considered a top contender any weight class he fights. What do you think?

How disrespectful is it for Bob Arum to talk about Cotto-Pacquiao if he also promotes Joshua Clottey?

He also treats Marquez (a former fighter of his stable that he never supported) like a B class fighter, merely because he knows he can beat his main cash cow atm. Arum (as it’s the case with most of the boxing world) only cares about the big $$$, nothing more, nothing less.

When the negotiations are finally done, will the Pacquiao-Cotto fight be a title-bout?

I know the fight is dubbed “Fire Power” but there are lots of contrasting sources about the fight being a title or a non-title bout.

I don’t see why Cotto doesn’t want to put his title on the line. He weighed in 146 lbs against Clottey, I don’t think 1 pound is exactly “draining” him like most of you say. I think this fight should be a title defense for Cotto.
